Meet STATS – our venue sponsor

Several of the A11YChi organizers visited several potential sites for our Accessibility Camp Chicago. After plenty of deliberation, our chosen venue was the offices of STATS LLC.

STATS“The venue is completely accessible, large, bright and offers the flexibility we need,” stated Dennis Deacon, organizer of the Chicago Digital Accessibility & Inclusive Design Meetup. “There are several rooms designated quiet rooms, for individuals who need a break for the inputs of conversations and presentations. We’re really looking forward to putting on this event at this location.”

About STATS

For over 35 years, STATS has operated at the intersection of sports and technology to unite billions of people around the world through their passion for sports. We have combined a customer-centric approach with the industry’s deepest data set and have invested heavily in new technologies like computer vision, machine learning, and AI to provide fan engagement and team performance solutions to our global partners.

STATS and Accessibility

As STATS moves from providing sports data to developing sports products, accessibility is playing an increasingly large role in our development process. The user experience team works closely with the software engineers throughout the development period to ensure that our products are meeting WCAG 2.0 standards, while still maintaining the look and feel of the STATS brand. This means that every design and line of code gets tested for WCAG conformance before every production push. This leaves us with a beautiful and functional product that all sports fans can enjoy.
